‘Ugly Betty’ stars are trying to give back to their fans. They have engaged theirselves in a fundraising activity for less fortunate children.

Actress America Ferrera is leading her ‘Ugly Betty’ co-stars to be involved in the fundraising activity she started last 2009. America Ferrera is the ambassador for a charity called Save the Children. The ‘Ugly Betty’ actress has been involved in the said fundraising ince December of 2009.

Ferrera started her efforts to campaign for the betterment of the education of the children of Africa. She has requested her fans and ‘Ugly Betty’ fans to support her in her campaign.

Now, her co-stars are also supporting Ferrera in her effort to raise funds to help build an elementary school for the children in Mali. Ana Ortiz, Mark Indelicato and Michael urie are some of the ‘Ugly Betty’ stars who pledged to gie their support for the fund raising.

America Ferrera has organized an event for this fundraising activity. The vent will be held at Axelle Fine Arts Gallery this April 12th. The event features a portrait of Americaa Ferrera as Betty Suarez, her character in the show ‘Ugly Betty’. The painting is done by Matt Hartley. The portrait will be available for auction and proceeds will fund the Save the Children school campaign.

‘Ugly Betty’ stars are also planning to make an episode of ‘Ugly Betty’ to support the said charitable activity.
