Betty later on decided to move on from her relationship with Gio and Henry. In this season of  ‘Ugly Betty‘, she went cross country in the United States, and started to stay and have an apartment of her own. Later on, she wanted so much to improve her publishing business.

Betty later on, gets the attention of Jesse, a musician, living across her apartment. She finds the hatchet of Kimberly “Kimmie” Keegan, her childhood opponent. Kimberly is the manager of Flushing Burger, where Betty’s father Ignacio works.

The war between Kimmie and Betty eventually subsides, when Betty helps Kimmie land a job as a writer and later on promoted to associate editor at MODE. Later on Marc and Amanda felt bad with Kimmie, when she befriended them but didn’t prove her worth. Later on, Kimmie was fired by Wilhelmina, when she started insulting during a photo shoot with Adriana Lima, the model.

Later on, Daniel was demoted to a Player Magazine as an Editor-in – Chief, when Alexis decided to ask Wilhelmina to come back as an Editor in Chief. Daniel decided to fight for his job and son’s custody, Daniel Jr. He wants to takes back his job from Wilhelmina, as her sudden rise and attempt to lure Betty as her assistant to bring her into her world.
