Ugly Betty producers announce that Chris Williams, Vanessa Williams’ brother, is going to join the cast of the show, playing the unlikely role of Wilhelmina’s twin.

Now it does seem very unlikely that the writers would come up with a boring cliché such as a long-lost twin, and upon further research, they did have something different in mind though. Michael Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly has the scoop on what would really be Chris’ role in the ongoing dramedy: a drag queen version of Vanessa.

A source from the show said that on a future episode that would be aired early next year, Wilhelmina learns of an impersonator from a far-off drag club, and man who goes by the name Wilhediva Hater. Wilhelmina is obviously pissed by the very idea that not only someone like her exists, someone is trying to pretend that she is her. She tries her best to stop her, but then her manipulative nature kicked in, and she felt that the impostor has some use for her. She uses him in order to attend her meetings and events and manages to fool everyone.

Chris Williams had numerous appearances in shows like 24, CSI: Miami and notably California, where he played Todd Carr. He was also on Curb Your Enthusiasm as the Krazee-Eyez Killa, for which the episode won an Emmy. In films, he’s played Dwight on Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.
